When it comes to holidays, we all love the idea of discovering the next big thing just ahead of the crowd. Whether it's tracking down a beach that's not in the guidebook, discovering a new place to eat after talking to a local, or deliberately choosing a holiday in a place you barely know anything about, the road less travelled often leads to authentic experiences.
Every week we try to experience something new with our crew… follow a different sailing route, sail to a bay where we’ve never been before, dive at a new site, walk a part of the island we’ve never been before, spot a wild flower we’ve never seen before, try a new activity in order to explore the islands we visit, talk to local fishermen and shepherds to hear exhilarating stories and gain insights into the traditional way of life of the islanders...
Island hop and get to see as many islands as possible!
Greece boasts more than 1,400 islands and the largest coastline in Europe. The best part about Greece is that most of the islands are set in complexes with small distances among them. This is a dream coming true if you wish to get to know as many islands as possible!
Discover secret beaches to moor!
Greece is filled with spectacular beaches and bays, many of which are only accessible by boat! Apart from sharing with you our most beloved, secluded beaches in the Aegean sea, we like to sail in order to find new mesmerising beaches to spend the night and enjoy a barbecue under the starry sky!
Swim and snorkle at crystal clear waters!
Greece boasts such tranquil and crystal-clear waters that are deep blue and unbelievably transparent with water visibility up to 30 to 40 meters, so no wonder why snorkeling is simply a must for you!The seabed is diversified with seagrass meadows, sandy plateaus and rocky bottoms, where starfish, sponges, sea anemones, and sea urchins hang around… wrasses, damselfish, sea breams and mullets, sometimes small groupers or the wary Mediterranean parrotfish can be observed just a few meters from the shore. Who knows you may be luck and encounter a sea turtle, one of the few places in Europe where it is possible to spot them while snorkeling!
Meet friendly locals
Going ashore to eat and explore is one thing, but have a poke around, chat with local people, ask questions, put yourself into their shoes to really appreciate the history and culture of each place.
By sailing around the islands you'll have the chance to experience the warm friendliness and hospitality of the islanders and discover an untouched traditional culture and welcome!
Grab some fascinating culture
The places you moor at are often bristling with historic sites, ancient temples, Venetian castles and fortified settlements, medieval and quaint villages, Byzantine monasteries…
Be inspired to take amazing photos
Boundless sunsets, sparkling seas, postcard-pretty fishing ports, traditional boats, white washed villages – there is so much to photograph on a sailing holiday and taking pics from the boat gives a unique, water-based perspective.
Observe unique wildlife!
Herds of dolphins such as the Bottle-nosed dolphin, the Common dolphin and the Striped dolphin will be your companions while sailing from one island to the other. Endangered animals like the Mediterranean Seal and the Loggerhead sea turtle and endemic species like the Skyros' Wall Lizard, Milos Viper are the natural, unique wealth of Aegean & Ionian seas.
On your way sea birds such as like gulls and cormorants will keep you company. You may be interested in our wildlife sailing holidays where a naturalist guide joins you onboard our sailing yacht to introduce you to unique species...
Taste Delicious food & wine
Food always tastes better when it’s grown on the doorstep and sailing to remote, smaller islands is a unique way to discover truly off-the-beaten-track local producers. Whether tasting freshly-picked home-cooked food at a family-run tavern, buying fresh fish from the fisherman, sampling olive oil from a small olive grove or tasting locally produced cheese, it will be a fascinating experience.
Walk & explore ancient paths and trails
Walk to idyllic villages, nibble a picnic lunch by a hill-top church and end with a cooling swim at a remote beach before returning to the boat.
The Cyclades is the perfect destination for walking because of the numerous ancient paths and trails!
Enjoy fun games with your friends & family!
You’ll sure want to do something fun with your crew mates! Jump from the boat, swim ashore for an ice cream, rent a SUP, play volleyball on the beach, learn the favourite local game, backgammon… the choices are endless.
Try a scuba dive!
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. If you are an experienced diver, you’ll discover the magical underwater world of the Aegean by diving into a colourful cavern full of corals, sponges, starfishes, nudibranchs and tube worms, sea anemones, scorpion fishes and other ‘micro’ attractions…

Sailor's paradise
Greece is a sailor’s paradise, with immense coastline, consistent trade winds to fill your sails, clear blue water, year-round sunshine, plenty of safe anchorages and islands close enough to navigate by sight.
A typical day may involve 3-4 hours sailing, stop on the way at a remote bay for a swim and lunch, short sail to the fishing port or bay where you'll spend the night. In the evening, you'll discover the island you visited and more importantly the main village "hora" where you can have supper at the local tavern and sample the local delicacies.

Tips for planning a trip post Covid
With positive signs for travel opportunities ahead, it makes sense to start making firm plans if you want to travel in 2021. To help plan, we've summarised some advice for you based on questions we receive… Our priority is to ensure you enjoy a safe and happy holiday and avoid disappointment where possible.
Don't leave it too late! We are experiencing high demand for August and autumn (and yes, even dates selling out) as many people book long-awaited adventures and feel by autumn travel will be safer and hassle free.
Be flexible: We get it, the countdown to an adventure has always been a great joy for us too, and when plans change again and again, it's disappointing. But the most important thing is travelling safely, and keeping others safe. Do plan, but be prepared to be flexible, and of course, to adapt to changing rules on things like social distance.
Look for flexibility in return: Check the booking terms and conditions for the company you are travelling with, you don’t want to lose out if something goes wrong. Our peace of mind guarantee allows you to make plans now worry-free... with only a small deposit, payment of balance fee last minutes, free postponement of your booking for any reason (even last minute) and free cancellation up to one month before the beginning of the holiday. Getting There: Be prepared to have a test prior to flying. Consider how you travel to your destination and maybe visit countries with shorter flight times or choose to take the train or ferry if possible.
Request health & safety procedures: of the company or accommodation you will choose. The health and safety of our customers is our top priority, even in ‘normal’ times we have a health and safety program. Request our procedure at This email address is being protected from spambots. Help Local Communities: Some communities, especially the small islands of the Cyclades or Dodecanese, rely heavily on tourism and have been severely impacted by Covid-19 - over 100 million jobs at risk around the world. Aim to leave a positive impact on the places you visit. Support small businesses and the local communities and help them keep their livelihoods.
Embrace Slow travel. After months of being locked indoors, we've all started to appreciate the little things in life. Take the time to soak up the scenery, connect with the culture, really explore the destination you visit!
